      When we think of missions we often think of a foreign country.  And, while there is a great mission field overseas there is also a mission field in our own backyard.  All around us are people who don't know Jesus Christ, who don't know there is a God who loves them and died on the cross to save them. 

      Since 2003 youth from across the Atlantic District have invaded a church each summer to help reap the harvest in the neighborhoods surrounding the local church.  Not only is this loads of fun, but we are also impacting lives for eternity.  During the project we eat lots of ethnic food, plan a great outreach event for the church, and learn how to reach out. 

     This year Reidsville EMC in Reidsville, NC  will be our host church.  We'll descend on the church Wednesday Evening August 6, spend 3 days planning a great event, and participate in the worship service on Sunday morning.  If you've never been a part of a Home Missions Project ask someone who's been before.  You won't want to miss it.

     This event is open to youth and adults across the Atlantic District.  Only the first 30 youth who register will be allowed to attend.  You must have your pastor, youth pastor, or youth leader's recommendation to attend.  Registration will begin July 1 and will close July 29.  Hope to see you there!!  Click the link below to download your brochure and registriation.  Please note that your pastor or youth pastor must approve and sign-off on your registration, along with your parent or guardian.
